乾稱父 : Qián (乾) is called ‘father’;
坤稱母 : Kūn (坤) is called ‘mother’.
予茲藐焉 : Even I, this humble thing,
乃混然中處 : find a place amidst them.
故天地之塞 : Therefore, whatever fills Heaven and Earth (tiāndì 天地)
吾其體 : is my body;
天地之帥 : and whatever governs Heaven and Earth
吾其性 : is my nature (qí xìng 其性).
民吾同胞 : All people are my siblings,
物吾與也 : and all things are my companions.
